We had 1 meeting to discuss days we’d each host the boys, basic daily schedule, food & diet concerns, etc.
After the meeting, we got started!
This spring, two friends and I decided to withdraw our children from their preschool program. Instead of paying $200-400/month, we each have the 3 boys 1 day a week. This gives each one of us 2 free mornings.
This may not be a solution for people with full-time schedules but if you’re working part-time and need affordable care or simply want to promote new experiences for your child…It works!
This past week we talked about where food comes from and we walked around the yard identifying growing plants. Then we watered our baby blueberry bushes, collected sticks, berries, flowers, etc. We made a wind-chime and painted bird houses. And, we read a story of a little boy that plants a carrot seed, everyone tells him it won’t grow but he keeps watering it and eventually it grows. The boys and I had a great time.
I now dedicate one morning a week to spending quality time with the boys. And, yes we spend time at the WEST END PARK.
